Behavior Assessment and Positive Behavior Support Planning

Behavior Assessment & Positive Behavior Support Planning

At Positive Behavior Advisor, I provide comprehensive behavior assessments to identify the reasons behind challenging behaviors and develop personalized, evidence-based strategies for positive change. While a BCBA does not diagnose autism or any other disability, I specialize in understanding behavior and creating effective support plans.

Our Process

1. Initial Consultation: Discuss concerns, goals, and background information.

2. Observation & Data Collection: Assess behavior in natural settings to identify patterns and triggers.

3. Functional Behavior Assessment (FBA): Analyze why behaviors occur and how to address them.

4. Personalized Behavior Plan: Develop strategies to increase positive behaviors and reduce challenges.

5. Parent Coaching: Train caregivers to confidently implement interventions at home.

6. Ongoing Support:( If desired), monitor progress, adjust strategies, and provide continued guidance.

By addressing behaviors proactively, I help families build skills, foster independence, and create a positive, supportive environment for long-term success.

I prioritize using a neurodiversity affirming and Trauma Informed Care (TIC) approach.
