Parent Coaching

At PBA, we offer parent coaching based on the principles of Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA), a scientifically validated, evidence-based approach rooted in behavioral psychology. ABA focuses on understanding and modifying behavior to support meaningful, lasting change.

Through individualized strategies, ABA helps increase adaptive skills such as communication, social interactions, and self-care while reducing challenging behaviors like aggression, self-injury, or tantrums. This approach is highly effective across various settings, including home, school, and the community.

With the right guidance and support, parents can implement ABA strategies at home, empowering their child to develop essential life skills in a familiar environment. Our goal is to equip families with practical tools that foster growth, independence, and success.

How Parent Coaching Works

1. Assessment & Goal Setting

I begin with a comprehensive discussion and intake to understand your child’s strengths, challenges, and goals.

We identify specific behaviors to increase (e.g., communication, social skills, self-help) and reduce (e.g., tantrums, aggression).

2. Personalized Strategy Development

Using ABA principles, I design practical, easy-to-implement strategies tailored to your family’s routines.

Strategies may include positive reinforcement, visual supports, structured routines, functional communication training, and more.

3. Live Coaching & Support

I provide real-time coaching via virtual or in-person sessions(based on location), guiding you through implementing ABA techniques in everyday situations.

You receive immediate feedback and troubleshooting to adjust strategies as needed.

My coaching goes beyond behavior management.I aim to equip parents with lifelong skills to foster independence and resilience in their child.

I emphasize collaboration and consistency, working alongside caregivers, educators, and therapists for a well-rounded support system.

ABA-based parent coaching helps transform daily struggles into learning opportunities, giving families the tools they need to create a supportive, structured, and positive environment for their child’s success.

Let’s work together to make meaningful progress one small step at a time.
